Museum of Mines
The Schneeberg mine, the highest-altitude mine in Europe, and the longest yielding in the Alps
(silver, lead and zinc have been mined here for about 800 years), may now be visited.
The mining tools both above and underground between Ridnaun Valley and Passeier Valley have been preserved in their original conditions, and can even be worked.

Museum of Mines in Prettau
This copper mine is probably in operation since the bronze age. This fact shows an archaeological find from 1864 - a bronzed pickax.
